My homwtown is Xinyi, a small place.
Xinyi (Chinese Postal Map Romanisation: Sunyi; Chinese: 信宜; pinyin: Xìnyí) is a county-level city in Guangdong province, People's Republic of China. It has a population of 170,368 people. Xinyi is located in the prefecture level city of Maoming.

粤西年例中，信宜年例又与众不同，这主要是山区与河谷平原生活方式不同，信宜年例受古俚僚文化习俗影响，至今遗风依存，年例的飘色、春牛舞、白花灯巡游、八音、人班戏更是粤西独树一格，与相邻县市不同。

光绪《信宜县志》卷一舆地志十风俗载：“元宵，城市家悬彩灯，亲朋聚赏萧鼓，歌讴之声达旦。多于是月乡傩，名曰年例。”
